Earth Day Home Refresh: Swap, Style, and Scent Your Way to a More Intentional Spring
Earth Day is a useful prompt for something that’s worth doing regardless of the date: looking at what is in your home and asking whether it is what you would choose if you were choosing carefully.
Most people have not chosen their home’s scent environment carefully. They have accumulated it. Air freshener sprays from a grocery run three years ago. Synthetic candles from a gift basket. A reed diffuser from a hotel gift shop that smells approximately like clean laundry and approximately like headache.
The Earth Day home refresh is the moment to clear that out and replace it with something you actually chose.
Five Intentional Swaps
Swap 1: Synthetic air freshener → Reed diffuser oil. Conventional aerosol air fresheners deliver synthetic fragrance compounds and propellant directly into the air you breathe.
